The three clothing items were my finds today as I spent the day thrift store diving (shopping)
I ended up re-sewing the jacket to fit a littler better.
The last picture was in portland. I spent a day up there recently wandering around with headphones on and ignoring most people. Just a little get away.

Tom Waits- "Children's story"

Once upon a time, there was a poor child,
With no father and no mother,
And everything was dead,
And no one was left in the whole world.
Everything was dead.
And the child went and searched day and night,
And since nobody was left on the earth,
He wanted to go up in to the heavens,
And the moon was looking at him so friendly,
And when he finally got to the moon,
The moon was a piece of rotten wood.
And then he went to the sun,
And when he got there,
The sun was a wilted sunflower.
And when he got to the stars,
They were little golden flies, stuck up there like the shrike sticks among the black thorn.
And when he wanted to go back down to Earth,
The Earth was an overturned piss-pot, And he was all alone.
And he sat down and he cried.
And he is there to this day.
All alone.

Okay, there's your story.
Night night.

Today was a day about me. (mostly)
I like to do certain things that make me feel like myself. They are small things, and they are not yours.

Although this house is not mine, I'll take it.

And I bought things today that used to be someone elses.

They're mine now.

(I really love the color of this house, it reminds me of a color in my old apartment in northampton, MA)
Bartlett's
Best quote so far:
"Love consists in this way, that two solitudes protect and touch and greet each other"
I'm really excited to read through this book and also one that I got called "The Heart is a Lonely Hunter". I forgot how much I liked being a loner and reading. It's such a comfort.

A bunch of silk shirts I bought today. Color (good color) is another thing that makes me happy. These shirts I bought are also completely comfortable beyond belief.

This pear was in my back yard. They aren't entirely ripe yet, but god are they amazing. Picking food from trees makes me want to go apple picking and reminds me that fall is the most amazing time of all.

Also, listening to the radio I heard these two songs that I want to remember to put on a mix or something. Well, one's a song and the other is more of an uplifting story. Very uplifting.
